fantastic stay!

delicious breakfastfriendly staffgreat locationsewage smell
I stayed in the superior double room and i just loved it! the breakfast was delicious (the pastries were my favorite), with such a wide selection. the staff members were helpful and friendly throughout my visit. They quickly answered all my questions. the location couldn't be better. It's just a short walk to everything.
the room had a slight smell of sewage after showering. the scent diffusers did little to cover it up, a bit disappointing. i ended up opening the windows.
Service
9/10
the staff provided assistance with directions, offering clear and helpful instructions to local attractions. they also addressed inquiries promptly and ensured a smooth check-in. i really appreciated their dedicated service.

cozy room and great location

great locationfriendly stafflovely viewoff-street parking
the location was indeed great, it was a short walk to attractions. i appreciated the friendly staff. the abbey room had a lovely view. off-street parking was an added bonus for me.
my room showed some signs of wear, i suggest fresh paint.
Dining
8/10
The breakfast service includes a selection of pastries, fruit, and yogurts. It is a basic but functional spread. i noticed that the coffee machine offers cappuccinos and lattes. The dining area has seating for approximately twenty guests.
Rooms
9/10
The room provided enough towels for my stay, this was practical. the bathroom included heated floors, a pleasant surprise. a complimentary bottle of water was in my room upon arrival. My room was clean and well presented.

underwhelming stay

city centerwindow framesmusty smell
the location offered a short walk into the city center, acceptable.
i found gaps in the window frames in my room. insects could easily enter. the 'wardrobe' space had a musty smell, and the light inside did not work. i wouldn't want to keep my clothes in there.

The Abbey room had been updated, so decor is a nice green. Views existed of the garden and bowls green nearby. Breakfast included both the traditional and some pastries from the continental choices.
I was charge ten pounds a night for parking.
