a perfect dream
tender staff lovely tour serene room
the staff were so tender, they showed us around upon our arrival, it was a lovely little tour. the room was serene and quiet. breakfast was freshly prepared right when we order it, a special treat i adore.
i do have a little thought. parking cost added a little extra to the bill, even with the room being somewhat costly already. it would be a true gift if parking was included.

beautiful decor festive feel uncomfortable bed big crack
the Darwin suite had BEAUTIFUL decor. all rooms have themes, done tastefully. the bar area had a festive feel with christmas decorations and a lit fireplace at arrival.
the bed wasn't comfortable. it was TWO singles pushed together. this meant there was a big crack down the middle. we kept falling into it during the night.

fantastic stay!
delicious breakfast friendly staff great location
I stayed in the superior double room and i just loved it! the breakfast was delicious (the pastries were my favorite), with such a wide selection. the staff members were helpful and friendly throughout my visit. They quickly answered all my questions. the location couldn't be better. It's just a short walk to everything.
the room had a slight smell of sewage after showering. the scent diffusers did little to cover it up, a bit disappointing. i ended up opening the windows.

the location was indeed great, it was a short walk to attractions. i appreciated the friendly staff. the abbey room had a lovely view. off-street parking was an added bonus for me.
my room showed some signs of wear, i suggest fresh paint.

underwhelming stay
window frames musty smell
the location offered a short walk into the city center, acceptable.
i found gaps in the window frames in my room. insects could easily enter. the 'wardrobe' space had a musty smell, and the light inside did not work. i wouldn't want to keep my clothes in there.

nice green decor bowls green view continental pastries
The Abbey room had been updated, so decor is a nice green. Views existed of the garden and bowls green nearby. Breakfast included both the traditional and some pastries from the continental choices.
I was charge ten pounds a night for parking.
